“We commissioned Fair Planning & Design to advise and guide us through a particularly challenging planning application on the Isle of Coll. The land on which we wished to start our business and build a house was out with the development zone and inside an SPA. Although we had overwhelming community support for the development, our initial engagement with the local authority was negative and we quickly realised the chances of our particular project getting off the ground were restricted.
We were amongst Stephen’s earliest clients in Argyll, where he had formerly worked as an Area Team Leader in the planning office. He guided us painlessly through what was to us like a bureaucratic quagmire, and identified the route by which we could demonstrate the case for our new business and house.  His comprehensive knowledge of the workings of the Planning Dept, his local understanding, availability & particular expertise, eventually led us to successfully achieving full planning permission for our new business venture and house.  We are excited to be realising our dreams and starting our next adventure.
